SD Prototypes Manufacturing Solutions Incorporated a minority owned small business located in San Diego, California started in 2003 offering consulting services for wire electrical discharge machining. January 2005 SD Prototypes changed our business structure from consulting services to a wire electrical discharge machining job shop. Today we offer a wide variety of services.
Primarily we work with businesses providing second ops machining, handling machining overflow, complete part manufacturing and total project management. We occasionally work with private individuals but our main focus is on our business relationships.
We strive not only to meet our customers requirements but to exceed their expectations. We are committed to providing excellent customer service, quality and fair pricing through regularly evaluations and reviews of ourselves and partnered vendors using internal examinations and customer comments. An example of our commitment to our customers, we purchased, installed and us the E2 Shop System. E2 allows us to quickly provide realistic quotes, track orders from inception through completion, job travelers, maintain customer and vendor relations and maintain documentation of past, present and future projects.
Our core business is providing wire electrical discharge machining services, with over 20 years experience in this type of manufacturing we have the knowledge and practical skills needed to take on most any project presented.
Over the years we have added other services both in-house and through outsourcing with other providers that we trust. Some other services offered are EDM small hole drilling, milling, sand blasting, surface grinding, lathe/turning and finishing services just to name a few.
